Responsible Play / play guide
Set a Session Plan Before the First Spin
A short, concrete plan for time, money, breaks and support—built before anticipation makes every boundary feel negotiable.
Editorial note: This guide is educational, independent and unsponsored. It does not recommend an operator, predict an outcome or turn gambling into an income strategy.
01
Choose two hard limits
Set a money limit you can afford to lose and a finish time. Either limit ends the session. Keep essential spending and borrowed money entirely outside the gambling budget.
Use the operator's account-level limit tools where available. A written intention is easier to revise in the moment than a control already set before play.
02
Make breaks automatic
Use reality checks or a separate timer, and step away when it sounds. Check elapsed time and net position without treating either as a command to continue until the result looks better.
Avoid playing when upset, intoxicated, sleep-deprived or trying to solve a financial problem. Casino games are paid entertainment with risk, not a recovery plan or income strategy.
03
Know the exit tools
Time-outs, self-exclusion, bank gambling blocks and independent support can create distance when stopping feels difficult. Tools differ by operator and country, so use the official service available where you live.
In the United States, the National Council on Problem Gambling connects people with local help through its national service. Elsewhere, contact your regulator or an established independent support organization; if there is immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
